  26. As far as I know the Flyer is composite, not component (CCIR 601) digital,
  27. it's also *compressed*.

  39. It comes down to what sort of performance you're looking for. If you need
  40. super fast visual feedback and smoothness with extremely large graphic
  41. files, nobody beats SGI. When it comes to sheer render power, get an Alpha.
  42. SGI prices might be a little bloated if you just plan to use it for LW, but
  43. when you take into account all that's available for this platform that's not
  44. available anywhere else, (Pandemonium, Flint, Matador, Amazon) there's where
  45. you see the value.
